Leadership challenger demands inquiry into Labour's financial crisis

In response to the announcement that Labour is £27m in the red, Labour leadership challenger John McDonnell said:

"New Labour has not only bankrupted the Party politically but also financially. It doesn't matter how much money you throw at an election, if the policies are not supportable.

"There should now be an independent inquiry into how the Party has come to be in this perilous financial situation."
